Welcome to Our Ministries

At St. John's we run a whole range of ministries as well as actively support the ministries of others.

Ministry and ministries is really just a technical way of saying 'service' - doing good to one another, being a blessing to others.  We believe that God demonstrated the most supreme act of service this world has ever seen.  He sent his own Son into the world, to take on human form, and ultimately to die in the place of you and me.  As witnesses of this service - and even more, as recipients of it! - we want to emulate God;s service in humility and grace and love.

People have all manner of different needs and interests, and you will find all manner of activities taking place out of St. John's to try to address these.  But our biggest need of all is to know God's love and forgiveness in Jesus.

In addition, there are many expressions of service from beyond our church which we are keen to support in whatever way we can.  Generally this support tends to express itself in prayer and money.  You might like to check out our link page to find out more about the kind of ministries beyond our church we are in partnership with.
